Hello Everyone, I have been cruising the boards for the last few days and found that hte leak on my 2002 F 550 7.3 Turbo stake body work truck which I thought was the rear main is actually the IPR leaking steadily. Im dropping quart a day and think it is the culprit of some of the performance problems I am having. I have found many threads on the replacment of it but they all seem to be out dated- Could anyone walk me throught the replacement of the IPR with pictures (so I can be sure it is what is leaking) It seems to be leaking on the drivers side top near valve covers? and dripping down the engine - The hose appears to have a connector on it which looks like it would pop right off - Im wondering how easily the IPR comes out and what exactly is holding it in there??
Performance issues are : Leaking Oil, Usually withing first few min of driving after start.... engine will sputter and shut off - I then place it in nuetral while rolling and it takes a while but she restarts - and then seems to run fine -
I will try to post up some pictures in a bit of my problems - Im hoping to taackle this this weekend
As I said many of the IPR replacement threads are out dated and whn I click on external links to replacemet pages they are no good
Also if I purchase a new IPR will it come with new seals or do I have to purchase them seperatly??
