How stiff is the clutch on a V10 ?

Sold my PSD today and I'm going to order a new truck with the gas motor. I want the 6 speed but the pedal was pretty stiff on the diesel. Can anybody tell me if there is a difference? The auto sounds nice after a hard day at work, but I'm not to sure about the reliability.

Thanks for your input. I have been driving my moms' Four Runner and that thing shifts or unlocks the converter every time you touch or release the gas pedal. Does the Ford tranny do much of that mickey mouse crap? I really like the old school muscle car shifts I had in my 69 Camaro. A shift kit would probably be the first thing I would do. I found a website with a guy that calls himself "factory tech" or something like that who sells a valvebody for $200 that basically comes with sonnax/tricumulator and some other tricks. Anybody dealt with him?

IMHO Ford has a poorly designed clutch actuation. No real leverage and stiff as a board. Dodge trucks I have driven were pretty nice in comparison. I don't understand why Ford cannot make a decent clutch actuation setup because with hydraulics and proper leverage it could be as easy as a VW.
