I just got a Banks BHA from a guy on Ebay. Unfortunately I am not sure how to install it. Can anyone tell how to take the old wastegate actuator off and how to install the BHA? I can't really see what is hold the actuator in place on the turbo. If anyone can help that would be great.

Thanks,
Ryan

There should be a small "c" clip to hold the rod to the lever. Banks suggests you mate the rod with the hole in the lever and then shorten the rod by six full turns. Once the rod is shortened it's handy to have some air pressure to push the rod out to where you can attach it to the lever, slide on the clip, make sure your line is attached to the nipple on the BHA and you're done

I believe that there is a 6 turn "Preload" associated with it as well.

Thanks guys, sounds simply. If I turn the shaft more than 6 turns will that make it hold at higher boost pressures?

Thats why I turned it 7x, in theory it made sense to me but I don't know if I'm correct. I know that it didn't hurt it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

I too turned 7X but ended up with 32 lbs. of boost on a stock turbo. So I had to go back and turn 2X the opposite direction (PIA).
