rear axle in 2005 and later F250 vs SRW F350
Someone on another forum posted this quote: "They have the same housings but the F350 has larger diameter axle shafts with more splines into the hub. Here is the description of the axles from the factory reference manual.
Spline minor diameter: F250 1.36" F350 1.50"
Spline major diameter: F250 1.50" F350 1.57"
Number of splines hub end: F250 35 F350 37"
Is that true ? I thought they both had the exact same 10.5" rear axle by Visteon. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif
