Ok so I got a new thermostat from IH to replace the old on in my '89 F350. Anyway the new stat with the rubber piece on the side of the stat that normally would go in the block is stamped "towards radiator". This seems backwards to any t-stat that I have installed before and is backwards from the one that was in there. Is this possibly correct? The outside of the box has it printed in what would seem like the correct direction. The old one is stamped toward radiator, also, but the side that is marked that way was toward the block, and that seems correct. What is the story? Also this is my first post, but have been lurking for a while. I did a quick search, but couldn't find what I was looking for. Thanks. gary, eastern Nebraska.
