i need to seal the 3 things that thread into the top of my fuel filter housing.
1 is the shradder valve
2 sensor
3 return line nipple

what sealant can i use on these?

Yes, that is the proper thing to use on fuel fittings. do not get any on the first thread, Never use teflon tape on fuel fittings. little pieces break off and clog things.

 

Permatex will harden - it'll be tough getting those parts off years later. I'd use plumbers thread sealant like Rector Seal Rector Seal - The Name You've Trusted for Years - my favorite is teflon paste Teflon Paste Pipe Dope 1/4 Pint - it seals the threads airtight but lets you disassemble those parts years later.

 

FWIW I have used the thread sealant with teflon liquid lots of times and it seems to do a real good job.

 

The liquid teflon I use also....it allows a good connection with the threads so you still have a ground passage on sensors ie Oil pressure sensor and the plugged filter sensor on the fuel header etc. The Permatex is best for flywheel bolts into the crank, water pump bolts etc anything entering coolant passages or oil use areas.
