Got an 08 6.4 that has lived quite well for 380,000 miles. Went through 3 re-gens last weekend and then went into reduced power mode. Codes are P246C, P2452, P2463 Has anyone cleaned there own DPF and how do you do it. Can anyone in the Columbus Ohio area flash my computer and turn off the re-gen so I can straight pipe it? Any way to straight pipe and trick the computer not to re-gen? How long can I drive it in reduced power mode? I know, I know Just get a damn tuner. LOL

Congrats! I think 380k miles is the most miles I've seen reported with a 6.4. And you've never had to clean your DPF ... amazing. Somebody sells an OEM DPF for about $1400, which is a good price unless you find one on ebay. Its easily swapped out too. Cripes ... I am still amazed that you've gone 380k and am just now looking to do work on the truck. Holy cow! Yeah you can find a DPF/EGR delete tuner and straight pipe if you like but you've got some serious mojo working for you and you might want to keep running it stock. Best of luck to you. Oh ... and I would not run the truck in limp mode whatsoever. Not even to fetch the mail at the end of the driveway. Fix it.

Ditto on the above advice...how did you ever get that many miles with only the original DPF? Amazing.

Picked the truck up this year when my 99 7.3 was totaled so I got less than $2000 in it. It was a fleet truck and always services at dealership. Guy told me the engine was replaced by Ford at 98,000 miles. Picked up a used GearBoxZ plus for $150. It's on its way. This is my only vehicle so I popped a 3" hole in the forward part of the DPF to relive the back pressure. I made sure the hole pointed straight down at the road. Truck went off reduced power and got me to work today.
