It will probably be hard your first time but you can do it just take your time. You don't need a lift but woud recommend a transmissions jack. In my younger days I would pull it by hand just press it out and lay it on my chest and bench press it back when done with my work. I would be in the hospital if I tried it now. I am glad I decided to change my own that first time. I it has saved me thousands of dollars over the years.
DON'T EVEN TRY IT WITHOUT A TRANNY JACK.

It would be even harder with a ZF-6, which weighs about the same as a 4R100. Tying to stab the input shaft into the clutch disc would be impossible with arms turning to jelly.
