I would have to get under my hood and see where I wired my Airlift. I forgot the fuse I tapped into, but it's under the hood. I'll try to find it tomorrow, but no guarantee. May be Friday. If no one else jumps in, be sure and bump this...I tend to forget easily.

By the way, you're gonna love that Airlift wireless. It works great and is super for adjusting the load on the fly.

 

Pizza guy, did you find anything? I am doing the install right now and looking for the same thing

 

I just installed a set of Airlift with SmartAir. For the relay I got the hot wire at the battery, and for the 12v hot with switch on I used upfitter switch #4. Works great. This is the second set of airlift with smart air I have used and I think they are the best of both worlds.

 

Do a search, you might have a wire under the dash that is a 12v turn on lead. It's blue and white I believe (white w/ blue stripe). There is a fuse for it that is labeled something like "customer access point"

 

Like blueline said its on the drivers side under the dash near the parking brake. I've used it quite a few times and it works pretty good.

 

So there is nothing under the hood? I will have to pull this through the fire wall or find one of the pull through leads. You would think Ford would have more 12 volt switched lead that one could tap into. Some times you don't want to always flick a switch.

Yes, there is. A ignition switched 12v connection is located in the fuse box. I know because this is where I tapped in for an auxillary fuel pump. I don't have a photo, but you can find it easy.

Remove the lid off the top of your fuse box (kind of a pain, this will be the hardest part). Use a meter or other sensing device to find it. There is no fuse in it. If I remember it is just forward (towards the grill) of a large blue topped fuse located towards the engine (away from the fender you'll be leaning on). Like I said, the hole is unused. Not hard to find. There may be more, but when I found this one I stopped looking.

 

You should have 4 pass through wires so you don't need to pull any wire.
